Juliet McGee M.A., LCMHC, NCC (She/ Her)
Practice owner & Licensed therapist
Juliet has 2 distinct specialties. Those specialties are complex childhood trauma and relationships. Juliet loves to work with people whose stories are full of hurt, loss, adversity and complexity. She believes in the transformative power of holding space, digging into the unspoken and uprooting patterns that keep people stuck in their trauma. To help people heal and grow, she uses Internal Family Systems Therapy, Somatic informed therapy, EMDR & Narrative Therapy. These approaches combine practical skill building for tolerating distress with intentional therapeutic processing to let go of unhealthy cycles and self-defeating beliefs.
With couples Juliet uses the Gottman method and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT). These methods focuses on tangible skills for strengthening the friendship, navigating difficult topics, changing ineffective patterns and safeguarding against resentment. Juliet is passionate about helping couples understand and end negative dynamics while growing closer in connection and trust .
Juliet also works with people experiencing grief & loss, depression, anxiety, burnout, career confusion and identity crisis. She earned her Masters degree at UNCC, spent 3 years working in the Netherlands as a refugee aid and private practice psychologist and has operated Grey Embraced since 2021.
