Zoe Van Kirk M.Ed., LCMHCA, NCC (She/They)
Zoe is a trauma-focused, neuroscience-informed therapist with a background in psychology who works alongside clients and couples in a grounded, relational, and down-to-earth way. They believe meaningful change happens when therapy moves beyond rigid scripts and instead centers honesty, curiosity, and owning one’s lived experience. She specializes in complex trauma and relational or attachment wounds, helping clients understand how survival patterns formed—and how they can soften as safety and self-trust grow.
Her approach is informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) , attachment theory, feminist theory, and polyvagal-informed care. Zoe tailors their approach to the unique needs of each client. Since Zoe is a queer- and neuro-affirming therapist and a certified Therapeutic Game Master, she ultimately values creativity in counseling through storytelling and play as meaningful tools for connection. Their goal is to help clients feel more at ease in therapy and in their minds, bodies, and relationships.
With couples Zoe works under the Gottman Couples Therapy method, which is a hands-on and directive therapy approach, Other evidenced-based frameworks such as IIFS therapy are incorporated to ensure each partnership not only learns practical tools for solving conflict, but connects on a deeper, soul level.
