Discernment Counseling for Couples

What is it?

Discernment counseling is a short-term therapy solution designed to help couples avoid premature decisions. Traditional couples therapy works best when both partners are fully committed to staying together. This approach takes the focus off of repair and puts it on discernment first.

How does it work?

Discernment counseling lasts for 5 or fewer sessions. Each session is 2 hours long with homework being a crucial aspect of the experience. One-on-one counseling is built into the process, making it a dynamic and unique couples therapy solution.

How do we get started?

Let’s start with a phone consultation to assure this is the right next step. As we talk you can ask questions to make an informed decision. Prior to beginning discernment counseling, a 30-minute individual session is required .
